PSA Builds Powerhouse High School Rosters with Two Top-Level Valorant Teams

Premier Sports Academy (PSA) is excited to announce the official rosters for its Collegiate Prep H.S. Valorant teams. Over 45 high-level players competed for a limited number of spots, and the ten players chosen for each team are expected to perform at the highest level under the guidance of Head Coach Jack "Tidal" Pennington and Coach Max Wood.

"I'm really looking forward to working with these guys and helping them develop into the players that they want to be," said Coach Tidal. "We've got a wide variety of tournaments and leagues that we are going to be able to compete in, so I'm ready to get in the server and get to work as soon as possible. My plan early on from a coaching perspective is to gauge where we are fundamentally and decide whether we need to focus on that for a few weeks or if we are already at the point of being able to dive straight into the strategic aspects of team play. Can't wait to get started."

Coach Tidal has been coaching and competing in Valorant since its beta, and has previously coached two top 35 teams within North America, as well as practiced with some of the best NA pro organizations. Coach Wood brings 4 years of collegiate experience, 10+ years of esports experience, and 1+ years of professional esports experience at the highest level, including currently coaching a roster in Vietnam for the VCT challengers series.

"In 2019, my teams won over $100,000 in prize money," said Coach Wood. "I'm excited to work with these talented players and help them improve their skills in every aspect of the game."

Both coaches will be responsible for the development of these ten athletes, and PSA President Matt Meier is confident that the teams will make a significant impact in the Valorant community.

"I've spoken to all the parents and athletes, and they are dedicated to making a huge splash in the Valorant space," said Meier. "Both teams are looking very strong, and I can't wait to see what they accomplish this season."

Here are the updated rosters for both teams along with their names, aliases, agents, grad years, city, state, and Twitter handles:

Team 1

"I think PSA will be good for me because we have a competitive level team with a good coach that can help me improve as a player and teammate that also helps me build myself to colleges as a high-level player," said Avien. "I am excited to play at the collegiate level because I have never played in a non-high school team and am excited to play in a team that is at a higher level than that and play against people at a higher level."

Player Austin "Prestige" Julian had this to say about joining PSA: "I believe PSA will allow me to push past the plateau I've had and continue to grow in every aspect of the game both in and out of the screen. I have always been a competitive person and cannot wait to get into the collegiate scene!"

Team 2

Premier Sports Academy Parent, Kristen Mahler is excited for her son to begin practice this week — “I’m excited for my son to grow in the sport he loves and develop important life skills. Premier Sports Academy embraces his passion and fosters leadership, teamwork, and communication all under the guidance of an experienced team.”

Both teams will compete in Mystic events, MSI, Zotac Cups, and Knights events, and PSA will be airing a PSA Network segment on Monday evening at 6 PM CST to provide more in-depth information about the teams, including interviews with Head Coach Jack Tidal and a player interview.

PSA is committed to developing these talented players and helping them achieve their goals in the competitive gaming community.
