Premier Sports Academy Bolsters Coaching Staff with Addition of Experienced Esports Manager

Premier Sports Academy has announced the appointment of Coach Maxwell Adam Wood as one of its Valorant Coaches. With over a decade of experience in the esports industry, Coach Wood is a highly regarded esports executive who has built and managed high-performing teams across multiple titles.

According to Premier Sports Academy President Matt Meier, Coach Wood's experience and expertise make him an invaluable addition to the coaching staff. "Coach Wood brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Premier Sports Academy. We are thrilled to have him join our coaching staff and help our athletes develop their skills and achieve their goals."

Coach Wood has previously served as the esports development manager at Lowkey Esports LLC, where he established and managed 11 independent branches with 168 employees. He oversaw recruiting, training, and competition schedules, as well as facility and equipment maintenance, and team registration. Under his leadership, the teams he coached won over $116,000 in prize pools and achieved significant successes, such as placing 17th in the 2019 League of Legends World Championship and winning the Overwatch Contenders 2019 S1 & S2: South America.

In his previous roles as an assistant esports director at the University of Cumberland and an esports director and public relations manager at the University of North America, Coach Wood demonstrated his ability to manage esports programs, oversee recruitment, and develop relationships with regional powerhouses. He also has experience coaching and managing Valorant teams and developing the internal infrastructure needed to support the extensive expansion of esports capacities.
